Kevin Jonas hopes for another baby girl

Kevin Jonas
If it was up to Kevin Jonas, he would be a father of two… girls! Though he and pregnant wife Danielle don’t know the sex of their second child, the former boy band member is thinking pink.“I’ve always just wanted two kids that were both girls, and my wife was like, ‘Why?’ I’m like, ‘Because I’ve been around boys so much my entire life, that I want to be surrounded by girls,'” Jonas, 28, said on Tuesday’s Nigel Barker’s Gentleman’s Code.

Kevin is the eldest sibling of the male dominant Jonas family that includes Joe, 26, Nick, 23, and Frankie, 15. “Oh, of course you’ve never been surrounded by women,” the photographer and host joked. “One of the Jonas Brothers right now just saying they can’t get enough women in their lives.”

And another reason Jonas would like to give 2-year-old daughter Alena Rose a little sister is because the couple, who celebrated their six-year anniversary in December, are “having the hardest time” finding a name for a baby boy. The singer and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant announced the baby news on Instagram in late April.

During the interview, Jonas discussed the mommy-shaming some celebrity parents like Chrissy Teigen have experienced recently. “It’s no one’s place to make comments on how you live your life, and you know what, no one even knows whether it was with a nanny, whether it was a babysitter,” he explained. “The baby could have been with her mom or her dad or any of the family members. It doesn’t matter who the baby was with. It’s not your responsibility to comment on parenting for others. I would hate if someone did that to me.”

Jonas also revealed that in the past his wife Danielle had been criticized by internet trolls for exercising while expecting, though the work outs are “what makes her feel good.”

He even shared a fan-created conspiracy theory about Alena. “Our first kid, everyone said that it wasn’t ours and it was a fake pregnancy and she didn’t look pregnant,” Jonas shared. “The ultrasound pictures that we sent, ‘Oh, that’s a very formed baby.’ It’s like, then you’ve never had a child.”
