Scores injured as suicide bomber kills self in Borno

A suicide bomber who disguised as a worshiper in a mosque in Sulimanti ward of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, reportedly killed himself on Wednesday after the Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs strapped around him detonated.
The suicide bomber suspected to be a Boko Haram terrorist was with an accomplice who escaped without detonating his IED.
The incident took place at about 4:50am, with many people injured, which left many residents of Maiduguri in constant fear.

Meanwhile, men of the Civilian JTF and volunteered residents are combing the whole area with a view to arresting the fleeing suicide bomber.
It was gathered that the suicide bomber who disguised as a worshiper attempted to enter a nearby Masalacin Kofar Shehu Councillor (mosque) when Muslim faithful were performing their morning prayers, but the IEDs he was carrying exploded few metres to the mosque, leaving the suicide bomber dead. Few others who were about to enter the mosque were equally injured
