Despite its continuous poor film directing, production, distribution and as well as the problem of piracy, Nollywood will definitely take over the lead in the global industry. This was opined by one of the industry’s veteran Actors, Ramsey Nouah, on Thursday, in a chat on Channels TV.
Nouah expressed hope in the future of the African largest movie industry.
He said that Nollywood had come of age and had gone through different phases of development.
He stated further that in the next ten to twenty years, the industry would produce movies that will conquer the world, stating that movies that could compete with movies produced in Bollywood or even Hollywood would be made available.
He said if the menace of piracy is curbed, the industry will chase and overcome its foreign counterparts.
Calling on the Federal Government to see the industry as a priority,
Ramsey called for investment in the potentials of the industry. He said ”the up and coming actors in the industry are doing really great and are ready to take over from the older ones.”
