Thousands of Ghanaian youth on AU Day - May 25 - joined the leadership of the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party to 'walk' for change. The change walk which began at the Ayi Mensah Toll Booth ended at the Peduase Lodge.
National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku, addressing the Youth, urged them to lead the 'change' that the country seeks this year.
"The youth led the change in Nigeria....the youth led the change in cote D’viore, and it is now the turn of the youth of Ghana to lead the change," he said.
According to Awuku, the change we seek this year is a change from corruption, incompetence, massive unemployment among the youth and insensitivity.
"We are only assured of a brighter future if we kick this government out and bring in the NPP," he stated.
In thunderous shout of "we want job, we want jobs" from the massive crowd, the NPP's Youth Leader responded, "then vote for Change which will bring you jobs, stable economy and ensure a future we will all be proud of".
He urged the youth to continually tell Ghanaian voters to vote NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
