If Meek Mill had gotten his way, Drake wouldn’t have ever stepped foot onto his precious hometown turf in the first place.
Regardless of which side you’re on throughout this ongoing beef, Drizzy’s performance in Philadelphia went off (mostly) without a hitch the other day (Sunday, August 21) but according to a new report, it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
As reported by TMZ, Meek Mill apparently tried to sabotage the 6 God’s time in his city by way of attempting to block Drizzy’s access to Philly’s best nightclubs.
Mill’s crew allegedly made phone calls to several club owners asking them to turn down Drake if he approached them regarding throwing an after-party. They also called on supporters of the Philadelphia rapper to send a warning to Drake that there was to be no disrespect by trying to run up on him after his set.
As the night’s events unfolded, Mill’s warning to Drizzy only made him more annoyed, as the two officially are beefing again (or possibly never have stopped).
While it’s unclear if Meek Mill’s attempts to be a buzzkill worked or if Drake was just over it and headed out early, what is certain is that the bad blood between them continues to boil. Meek Mill trying to block Drake’s ability to party after his show is, we must admit, just about as petty as it gets.
