It was gathered that the former President arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Wednesday before heading for his country home in Otuoke, Bayelsa State.
An associate of the former President confirmed that Jonathan had arrived Nigeria.
He told Punch, “I have spoken with the ex-President and he said that he had returned to the country.”
There was report in the media on May 23 that he was on exile in Cote d’Ivoire.
However, the ex-president had denied the report.
Meanwhile, the social media was a beehive of activities last night when the news broke out that the former president was back into the country. Many of his ardent followers took to the new media to inform him what happened while he was away with the trend- #GEJWhileYouWereAway.
