A 40-year-old woman has been accused of poisoning her husband to death at Attakrom in the Ashanti region for being a drunkard. From information gathered, the woman, Eno Akorah went to consult a traditional priest to prepare a concoction for her; so she could mix it with food for the husband to 'heal' him from alcoholism.
The woman allegedly mixed her husband's meal with the concoction prepared for her by the priest last evening, with the hope that it will work as she had requested.
But the deceased reportedly started complaining of stomach ache after consuming the meal.
He fell and started convulsing on the floor before shocked friends, family and witnesses rushed him to the hospital but died on the way.
Relatives of the deceased are accusing the Eno Akorah of intentionally poisoning her husband to death but the suspect has denied the claims saying that she only meant well for the husband who she wanted to stop drinking.
