Read For Yourself - Boy, 8 commits suicide

 

   Police in Awutu-Bawjiase in the Central Region is investigating the death of an eight-year-old boy who is said to have allegedly committed suicide.

The boy was found hanging on an orange tree behind their house but was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

District Police Commander of Awutu-Bawjiase, ASP Bernard Awudu Norgah in an interview with Adom News said the young boy was playing with friends on his father’s compound.

However, the 8-year-old who went missing for a while was seen hanging on an orange tree, so the elders in the house quickly removed him and rushed him to the Bawjiase health post.

He was then transferred to the Swedru Government Hospital but was pronounced death upon arrival.

ASP Awudu Norgah said the when they examined the body, the saw marks on his neck which confirms suicide but they will still conduct investigations on the bizarre incident.
