Match Day 16 Review: Enyimba hold MFM, Rangers stumble

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) leaders, Enugu Rangers, blinked again in their bid to win their first title in 32 years, as they were beaten 2-1 by Sunshine Stars on Wednesday.
Samad Kadiri gave the home side the lead in the 21st minute, before Chisom Egbuchulam equalized for the table toppers. However, Okiki Afolabi’s second-half strike proved to be the winner for the Akure club.
Rangers now have 28 points from 16 matches.

Rivers United are now level on points with Rangers, after they defeated visiting Wikki Tourists 1-0.
10-man Enyimba held MFM FC to a goalless draw at the Agege Stadium in Lagos, while Ikorodu United also drew 2-2 with Plateau United.
Ismaila Gatas brace ensured that Niger Tornadoes won 2-1 against Heartland, FC IfeanyiUbah claimed a 1-0 home win against Lobi Stars and Nasarawa United edged out Abia Warriors 3-2.
