The duo received the money from former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke through Fidelity Bank ahead of last year’s presidential poll.
Vanguard reports that they were among others who admitted collecting N1.1 billion for the purpose of disbursing to politicians in their respective states to influence the outcome of the election.
While Arch Musa Sada told EFCC investigators that he collected the sum of N700 million and handed over to the state’s finance commissioner on the instruction of Governor Ibrahim Shema, Asabe Asmau disclosed that she kept N105 million for herself and handed over the balance to the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
EFCC reportedly asked them to refund the monies since it was taken from public accounts.
The duo are expected to be charged to court soon.
