Mali has named a 23-man squad, for the international friendly match with Nigeria, scheduled for May 27 at the Stade Robert Dichon in France.
Coach Alain Giresse left out captain Seydou Keita. The squad consists of three local-based players and 20 foreign-based ones.
Birama Toure, Molla Wague, Youssouf Kone and Tongo Doumbia were also not called up for the friendly while Werder Bremen’s’ Sambou Yatabare missed out due to injury.
The last time both teams played each other was in February 2013 when the Super Eagles defeated Mali 4-1 in the semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia.
