National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has advised a female governorship aspirant in Edo, Mrs Tina Agbarha to take her campaigns seriously.
Odigie-Oyegun gave the advice at the party’s secretariat in Abuja on Monday when Agbarha, visited him.
He told the aspirant to place less emphasis on role of money in politics, saying “you should take interest in politics and campaigns seriously because not everything is about money in politics.

“I urge you to increase your level of participation in electioneering processes because it is not all about money. If it were all about money President Muhammadu Buhari would not win.
“The people trusted him, and so I encourage you to take what you are doing very, very seriously.’’
The chairman pledged that the party would give all aspirants a level-playing field by conducting free and fair primaries, and asked that all aspirants collapsed their structures behind the flag bearer to stand united in the election.
Earlier, Agbarha thanked the chairman for the free nomination and expression of interest forms for women and urged him to create more opportunities for women in the party.

Fielding question from newsmen, the aspirant said that one of the things she would do if elected was to address the high maternal mortality rate in the country.
Agbarha said that she would make healthcare free and accessible.
She said, “during my tenure, we will work to reduce maternal mortality because life is important; life first, every woman’s life counts.’’
She said, among other things, that she would also launch women into small and medium scale businesses so that they help their homes. (NAN)
