A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Ibraheem Saka Ominiwe has called on the National Assembly to expedite action on the passage of the Public Looters’ Bill.
This was contained in his speech in Ibadan on Sunday while he addressed newsmen, describing the National Assembly’s resolve on the kidnappers’ bill as a welcome development, but added that what was good for the goose is good for the gander.
He noted that looters have kidnapped millions of naira silently, adding that the National Assembly should, with the same seriousness it is working on the Kidnappers’ Bill, expedite action on the looters’ bill also.

It would be recalled that the Senate had on Wednesday, May 4 resolved to enact a bill that would make provisions for death penalty as punishment for anyone caught in the act of kidnapping.
The party chieftain maintained that the senate hurriedly reached a resolution on the kidnappers’ bill because kidnappers were after the rich people in the society.
He opined that, “President Muhammadu Buhari should not assent to the kidnappers’ bill until the looters bill is passed.”
