Amaechi’s loyalist threatens to take laws into his hands if police fails to arrest attackers of farm

After respite has been restored in some widely-reported volatile areas in Rivers state, especially in Omoku and Egi, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local government area, the violence in the state is fast spreading to other parts.
Few weeks ago, widespread violence caused by rival cult groups has been reported in Abua-Odual Local government area of the state leaving many dead.
But the immediate past executive chairman of Abua-Odual local government area of Rivers, Udi Odum has called on the Rivers State Police Command to take steps towards apprehending the gunmen that
attacked his farm at Ogbema in Abua last week


  Udi, a two term Local government chairman made the call while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt, stating tha he is now waiting for the police to take action after having given useful information to the police including the names of the assailants.
The former council boss who said he witnessed the attack said, “I reported the matter to the police; I even mentioned the names of the attackers. So I am waiting for the police to respond and if they fail to arrest those that carried out that action, I may take the Laws into my hands.”
Recall that some armed men reportedly attacked Opelia Farms Limited in Abua last week.
We gathered that the attackers who were heavily armed shot sporadically, allegedly killing one worker in the process.

     Eyewitnesses said, several farm produce were also destroyed by the assailants before carting away livestock.
Earlier in the same week, gunmen had attacked Okobo, a neighbouring community, killing three young men and destroying properties worth
millions of naira.
