Late Michael Jackson Tops Forbes Highest-Paid Dead Celebrities With $825m

Late King of pop, Michael Jackson died seven years prior yet earned $825 million in 2016, making him the highest earning dead celebrity of the year.
As per Forbes, he made that much income as a result of his estate's decision to sell his half-share of the Beatles catalogue to Sony for $750 million. 

The Thriller corner had obtained the rights to the Fab Four's music in 1984 for $47.5 million and afterward sold 50 percent of it to Sony in 1995 for $115 million.
