Mourinho Says United Did Not Deserve To Lose Feyenoord Match

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said they did not deserve to lose their Europa League opener at Feyenoord.

Tonny Vilhena scored the winning goal in the 79th minute, as Mourinho’s men lost for the second time within a week.
The Portuguese made eight changes from the Manchester Derby and his new-look team struggled badly against their hosts.

“Of course I’m unhappy,” Mourinho said after the game. “We lose the game in a moment we didn’t deserve to.
“The second half, the game was even. We were always in control. We were trying to win, they were trying not to lose. It is double unlucky because it was a clear offside.
“The second half was better than the first.
“In the Europa League, we are going to be the team everyone wants to beat.”

Mourinho also refused to single out any player for criticism and insisted some were fitter than others.
“I don’t want to go in that direction,” he added. “I don’t want to personalise. Obviously, some played better than others. It was the first game for some.
“We go back to a normal team without so many changes [against Watford].”
