The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Ipaye Nwachukwu, in her ruling, ordered that the convict must put two hours daily for 10 days in serving the sentence.
The convict pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of stealing.
According to the Prosecutor, Anthonia Osanyade, the convict committed the offence sometime in July at Orile Iganmu in Lagos.
Osanyade said that the convict went to the shop of the complainant, Emeka Chukwuka, and stole N61,000 cash while he was busy attending to other customers.
The offence was said to have contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011.
