Tragedy struck Toya Wright and her family this past Sunday (July 31) when her brothers were killed in New Orleans.
As reported by TMZ, Wright’s ex, Lil Wayne, jumped on a plane as soon as he could to be by her side during this incomprehensibly difficult time.
The report shares that Wayne was “completely devastated” over the death of his ex’s brothers and wanted to be with Wright and their daughter as soon as he possibly could.
Lil Wayne was close with both of the brothers, particularly Rudy, who used to live with the rapper.
TMZ also shares that Weezy will not be attending the funeral services, only because he doesn’t want it to turn into a paparazzi-ridden affair.
Lil Wayne has not offered any personal statement on the matter but we’re glad he’s where he needs to be and is able to be there for Toya in the wake of the loss of her brothers.
