Gayatri does not want Sindoora to get in touch with Sagar, so she shrewdly manages to convince him to switch off the phone. Sindoora tries to phone Sagar to inquire about the address but cannot get through and wonders why Vidya and Gayatri did not want her to come to the clinic. Gayatri informs Sagar at the clinic that the sonography will take time, and asks him to fetch her ancestral necklace from the jeweller. By the time Sagar returns, Gayatri tells him that the test has already been done. When they return home, Sindoora informs Sagar that she could not get through anybody's phone. Sindoora pretends to get hurt about the whole incident. Sagar apologises to her. Sindoora does not turn up for the religious ceremony held later and when Sagar comes to fetch her, she puts on an act of being unwanted in his life and in the house. She accuses him of letting Vidya be more important to him than her but Sagar assures her that he loves her the most. The priest asks the daughter-in-law of the house to sit for the ceremony, so when Sindoora goes ahead, Sagar reminds her that Vidya will sit for it, not she. Sagar explains to Sindoora that although she had performed the ceremony from so many years, Vidya will sit for it from now. Sindoora is not too pleased. Later, crackers are burst to celebrate the festival of `Diwali'. After a while, Sagar tells Shalu that he is taking Vidya inside because noisy crackers are not good for the baby. Sindoora wonders why Vidya always turns glum hearing about the baby.
Rajiv holds Mahua's hand while the `Diwali' celebrations are on. Hema and Harish witness this. Hema asks Chandra to be with Harsh. Rajiv is busy decorating the table on the terrace when Chandra hugs her. Rajiv is shocked to see Chandra, and not Mahua. Chandra asks him why he had sent the letter through Hema! Just then Mahua comes to the terrace and sees this. The next morning, Sindoora notices the misery in Vidya's eyes when everyone talks about her baby. Vidya goes to her room and starts crying. Gayatri scolds her for turning weak again and warns her to get ready to lose her husband! Sindoora enters the room but Gayatri changes the topic. Sindoora realises that she must find out the secret that only Gayatri and Vidya know. Meanwhile, Sagar gifts a gold set to Vidya. He then surprises everyone by transferring his entire inheritance to his unborn baby. Sindoora is shocked! Uma cautions Sagar not to get so carried away by happiness because evil eyes will be cast. Uma then decides to hold a religious ceremony the next day and informs Sagar that she will leave for a pilgrimage after that to pray for the happiness of the house. Sindoora vows that the family will not acquire happiness by trampling on the joy of her life!
Hema tries to brainwash Shalu to find a richer man than Cheenu and warns Cheenu to stay away from Shalu. Meanwhile, Sagar gets worked up seeing Vidya doing chores and warns her to rest. Sagar tells her that he is so ecstatic about being a father. However, he soon apologises for scolding her. Vidya goes out and starts weeping. Sindoora asks her why she is so unhappy but Vidya replies that she is only restless and anxious. Gayatri too comes to Vidya's rescue. Sindoora wonders whether the secret Gayatri and Vidya share has anything to do with the baby. Meanwhile, Chandra apologises to Mahua for suspecting her about Harsh and mentions about Harsh setting up a romantic table for them the previous night. Chandra says that she loves Harsh a lot and wants to start a family soon. Mahua decides that she must sacrifice Harsh for the sake of her sister. Meanwhile, Vidya lifts a heavy suitcase and puts it on the wardrobe. Sindoora sees this and wonders if Vidya is not pregnant at all! On the other hand, the religious ceremony to ward off evil from Vidya and her unborn baby gets over, and Uma leaves for a pilgrimage. On the way, Sindoora stops near a clinic and tells Sagar that she wants her gynaecologist to check Vidya once. Vidya and Gayatri are shocked. Sagar too agrees with her. Vidya goes inside the doctor's cabin. Sindoora realises that, often, honest people are most unhappy when they resort to deceit, and hopes that her suspicion is true as that would benefit her!
