The Nigerian Army says it has made life unbearable for Boko Haram terrorists, stressing that with the setting in of the rainy season, members of the outlawed sect are now trapped in the Sambisa forest.
This was disclosed at a news conference by the Theatre Commander of the Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor, who stated that troops operating in the axis have snuffed out the livelihood of the Boko Haram members.
According to him, “What we have now done is to reduce the capacity they have in Sambisa and the same way they have made it difficult for us to reach them, we have also made life unbearable for them.

“If they remain there they are on their own but if they come out and surrender we are here to receive them.”
While noting that the rains have placed terrain limitations on operations, Irabor gave the assurance that troops will remain undeterred as they continue in the offensive against Boko Haram members.
