APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC), has inaugurated the Edo State Screening and Appeals committees, ahead of the June 18 governorship primary election in Benin City. The Screening Committee is headed by a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Prince Chibudum Nwuche, while the Appeal Committee will be chaired by Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora.
APC national organising secretary, Senator Osita Isunazo, at the inauguration yesterday at the party’s national secretariat, in Abuja, urged members not to compromise.

“If you bring an aspirant that is not qualified, he runs the election on our ticket and wins, and the other people go to court, our party will lose to a party that came second. So, your duty is very critical,” he said.
In his remark, Nwuche said “what killed many political parties in the past, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is injustice. In the APC, I know that that will not be here.”
Twelve APC governorship aspirants, including one female, are participating in the screening exercise, which started yesterday and ends on Sunday June 12‎.
