Christina Grimmie will be laid to rest later this week in a private funeral attended by her loved ones in her home state of New Jersey.
"It's just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends," a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Hundreds of mourners gathered Monday night for a candlelight vigil in the late singer's New Jersey hometown of Evesham Township.
"She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister," said her brother Marcus. "Adam Levine paid for Christina's funeral. Selena [Gomez] is singing a song and crying [during her concert]. These people didn't have that and we are blessed too. She's in a better place."
Marcus also thanked Grimmie's fans for their support over the last few days. "Thank you to everyone once again," he said. "I wish I could elaborate more. You guys didn't know her like I did, so thank you. This is awesome," he said in conclusion.
The YouTube sensation and Voice contestant was only 22 when she was fatally shot late Friday by a deranged fan during a meet-and-greet session after opening for pop-rock band Before You Exit at the Plaza Live venue in Orlando, Florida.
A GoFundMe page created by Grimmie's manager (and Selena Gomez's stepfather) Brian Teefey to support her family has raised nearly $160,000 and a change.org petition urging Nintendo to memorialize Grimmie in the next Legend of Zelda game (a longtime favorite of hers) has received more than 30,000 signatures.
