The witness alleged that Saraki declared his property of 15a Macdonald Street Ikoyi, Lagos on 16, September 2003 but actually procured the property in 2005.
Responding to a question from Saraki’s lawyer, Paul Erokoro on whether he agrees Saraki did an anticipatory asset declaration, Wetkas said, “Until otherwise proven, I do.”Wetkas when asked why Saraki was never invited for questioning on the alleged anticipatory asset declaration but was tendered as evidence before the tribunal said, “Assets declaration is not like any other form, after signing you will go before a High Court judge to swear an affidavit. I believe everything in this document tendered is correct,” wetkas added.
After listening to arguments by both counsels, Chairman of the tribunal, Danladi Umar adjourned the matter till tomorrow for further cross examination of the prosecution witness.
