NPFL expulsion hangs over Giwa FC as club is set to boycott Akwa United match

      

Giwa FC may yet be expelled from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), as they look to stay away from their next fixture against Akwa United on Wednesday.
The match is scheduled to be played in Ilorin, where the Jos team have been banished to, after crowd trouble at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.
Giwa failed to honour a game against Wikki Tourists in Ilorin and a walkover was declared.

The club will be thrown out of the NPFL if they miss three fixtures for no coherent reason, according to the rules of the competition.

A player of the club informed AfricanFootball.com: “I can’t really tell you anything about the game, but we the players are confused right now because we are still in Jos now (6:10pm Tuesday).
“Nobody has given us any information if we are going for the match or not.”
