Chelsea defensive midfielder and Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel will not be parting ways with Chelsea until at least the end of the 2016/2017 football season, according to one of his advisers.
Mikel is currently being needed by clubs in Spain, UAE, Turkey, and China but has vowed to see out the remainder of his contract with the Stanford Bridge club.
Mikel’s adviser told allnigeriasoccer.com that, “Mikel has said he is still with Chelsea until the end of his contract next year. Certainly, he is not leaving this summer.

“At this moment, it is uncertain whether he will renew his contract or leave as a free agent next year.”
The 29-year-old Mikel was recruited from Lyn Oslo in 2006 for a combined transfer fee in the region of 20 million euros and is in his tenth season in the club.
