Lagos State Emergency Management say suicide victim is receiving treatment at a hospital


Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has released a statement on the man who attempted to commit suicide yesterday at Adebisi Ogunniyi Crescent, Lekki Phase I. The statement below:
"A man identified as Fredrick Gino, a foreigner from Cameroun climbed an electric pole in attempt to commit suicide, at Adebisi Ogunniyi Crescent, Lekki Phase I. 
Reports from eye witnesses stated that he had been on the pole since 5:30 am. All efforts by the Community to bring him down proved abortive.
 However, the Agency’s Officials in collaboration with the State Fire Service, was able to rescue the attempted suicide victim. In an attempt to rescue him, he sustained injury and immediately taken to Oba Yekini Elegushi Primary Health Care Centre, Lekki Phase I. 
The General Manager, LASEMA, Mr. Michael Akindele said that security Operatives will conduct proper investigation on the matter. He advised people to be security vigilant of strange faces around them, as well as reporting such incident to security operatives or call the toll free line 767 or 112 for necessary assistance.
 The GM also appreciates the support of Chief Yemi Adesanya, one of the Chiefs in the Community as well as the Eko Electricity Distribution Company for their support and timely response"
