Kano Pillars have chosen not to contest the N2.4million fine, imposed on them by the League Management Company (LMC), for their fan’s violent behaviour during last Wednesday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 7 clash against Enyimba.
The supporters threw objects onto the Sani Abacha Stadium pitch, immediately after Nzube Anaezemba equalized following Rabiu Ali’s opener.
Police tried to contain the mayhem by firing teargas to disperse the crowd.

However, things got out of hand after the game, with the Pillars fans attacking Enyimba’s team bus. The driver sustained injuries, after he was hit with an object.
The management of the club will now pay the amount within the stipulated time.
They will also remain under close watch at home and are on a suspended two-game closed-door ban.
