ICC calls on Libyan gov't to hand over Gaddafi’s son

Saif Al Islam, Son Of Late Muammar Al Gaddafi
Fatou Bensouda, prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, or ICC, called on Libya’s Government of National Accord to hand over Saif al Islam, the eldest son of late Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi, to be tried for crimes against humanity.

Saif al Islam, who was sentenced to death by a court in Tripoli last year, has been held by militias in the Libyan town of Zintan, which is not controlled by the government.

Bensouda said on Thursday that the new Libyan government should give priority to the transfer of Saif al Islam and facilitate his delivery to the ICC without further delay.
