How England can have 5 clubs in next season’s Champions League

With the semi-finals of both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League concluded this week, England still holds a chance of sending five teams to next season’s Champions League.
Leicester City, who have been confirmed Premier League champions, will see be seeded in the group stages of the Champions League.
The second-placed team – likely to be Tottenham Hotspur – and the club that finishes third will also make the group stages.

Fourth will also qualify for the Champions League play-off stages – this has been confirmed after Manchester City were eliminated by Real Madrid on Wednesday.
This means that Liverpool are the only side who can qualify for the Champions League if they win the Europa League. Jurgen Klopp’s men turned around a 1-0 deficit, to defeat Villarreal 3-0 at Anfield and qualify for the final in Basel, where they will clash with perennial winners, Sevilla.
England’s limit for Champions League spots is five.
This season, Spain had five clubs in the Champions League. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia qualified based on their league standings, while Sevilla joined them after winning last season’s Europa League.
