Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani deliver romantic performance

Talk about an intense performance!

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani kept their eyes laser-locked on each other while singing their new duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" at the Billboard Music Awards – and we all felt the heat.
And while the pair might have been nervous when they previously unveiled the super-personal song on The Voice, there didn't seem to be any nerves on stage Sunday night. The adorable pair even shared a celebratory embrace while the crowd cheered them on.

"We're a little bit nervous about it, but nervous in a way that we can't wait and nervous in a way that we hope people think it's as good as we think it is," Shelton, 39, had told PEOPLE before the live Voice performance. "It's like people getting a look at something personal for the first time."

Shelton and Stefani, 46, – who have been dating since last fall – co-wrote the song together "about some serious insecurities that we had when we first started down this road with each other," he says. "We both had trust issues. We were getting over it, but we wrote this song about it, and it's perfect."
