Beyoncé and her father Mathew Knowles' reportedly rocky relationship appears to be smoothed over.
The father-daughter duo posed happily for a photo that was shared by Tina Knowles-Lawson on Instagram Thursday.
"Houston Concert proud dad!!!!" Beyoncé's mother captioned the picture that was taken at the May 7 stop of the Formation Tour.
This photo comes almost a month after the 20-time Grammy winner referenced her father and former manager in a song, "Daddy Lessons," on her Lemonade album. Knowles, 64, may have inspired lyrics on the single as his daughter sings, "You remind me of my father, a magician. Able to exist in two places at once. In the tradition of men in my blood, you come home at 3 a.m. and lie to me. What are you hiding?"
Bey's dad previously explained in an interview that he "can only speculate like everyone else" as to what the lyrics actually mean. However in a separate conversation, he shared, "I can only speak of being a proud father."
Knowles even explained that he was "confused" at first when he watched the Lemonade premiere on HBO, which also happened to be the first time he heard his child's new music.
"I didn't know quite where she was coming from. Was she talking literally or was she leaving it up to the viewer to use their own interpretation of what she was saying?" he inquired.
In 2011, Knowles-Lawson went through a divorce from Mathew and leaned on their children – Beyoncé, 34, and Solange, 29 – to get through the tough time.
That same year, Beyoncé severed her business relationship with her father, who had oversaw all aspects of her career since the beginning of her Destiny's Child days in the late '90s.
