The party urged Governor Ayodele Fayose to, as a matter of urgency, pay civil servants the five-months arrears of salaries owed them and the six months arrears owed pensioners.
It also demanded the payment of entitlements due to medical doctors and workers to end the culture of strikes in the health institutions in the state.
These are parts of the resolutions reached at the APC Ekiti South senatorial meeting held in Emure Ekiti and contained in a communique signed by the Chairman, Kayode Babade and the Secretary, Muyiwa Akinbobola.
According to the communique which was made available to DAILY POST on Monday, the APC condemned the construction of a flyover in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. It suggested that the fund for the flyover be converted to fix inter-local government roads and township road networks.
The party demanded the return of all monies allegedly collected by the governor from corporate organizations in Ekiti State into Governmet coffers in respect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The APC equally condemned the tax imposed on school pupils in the state which, according to it, “had never been done anywhere in the world.”
“We, therefore, urge the governor to refund all taxes so far collected and reopen the schools locked up for default payment in the interest of our future generation,”the party said.
The party condemned what it called “the incessant attacks” by Fayose on President Muhammadu Buhari saying: “the governor should know that he is not doing Ekiti proud as Ekitis are decent people imbued with sound virtues and values.”
It commended the President and the National Assembly for the passage of the 2016 Budget which would afford Nigerians opportunity to benefit from the party’s development agenda for the nation.
