According to reports, but for the quick intervention of a cab driver who called the attention of the RRS officials patrolling the area at about 5pm, the woman and her baby would have been dead.
At the RRS headquarters, the 27-year-old woman told the police how a voice ordered her to jump into the Lagoon with her 12-months old baby.
The woman, described as a University of Lagos, UNILAG dropout, was said to have had issues with her husband prompting her to relocate to her parents’ house in Gbagada.
She confessed to the police that after she heard the voice calling her to come to the Lagoon; so she trekked from Medina Estate in Gbagada to the Third Mainland Bridge.
“Immediately I heard the voice, I hearkened to the call because it was coming repeatedly from the person calling me.”
Adegoke and her baby were however reportedly released to her family members.
