Luis Suarez scored four times, as Barcelona returned to winning ways, with a 8-0 hammering of Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday night.
The Uruguayan striker, who also provided three assists as Barca romped to victory, has now overtaken Ronaldo De Lima, by reaching 49 goals for the season.
Ronaldo scored 47 goals in all competitions for the Catalan club during the 1996/1997 season.

Suarez is however still behind Lionel Messi, who holds the record after netting 73 times in the 2011/2012 campaign.
The former Liverpool striker, also set a new La Liga record by becoming the first player to have a hand in seven goals in a single game.
