Players of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Shooting Stars, have threatened to embark on strike, after the club failed to pay their salaries for five months.
With the management yet to provide any update on the situation, the players are now considering staying away from training.
“The situation at the club is pathetic as we have not received our salaries for the past five months,” one of the players told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“We experienced the same thing last season and it’s unfortunate that we have been subjected to the same treatment again.
“We have managed to cope with the situation so far, but if the condition persists, then we will be forced to shun training and even boycott league games too.”
The Ibadan team are currently 11th in the league and travel to Kano this Sunday to face former champions, Kano Pillars, in a Match Day 13 fixture.
