The ongoing scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit,PMS, otherwise known as petrol, Wednesday afternoon claimed its casualty as a female Civil Defence officer reportedly shot dead (photo) an unarmed Okada rider over a minor argument in Festac Town, Lagos.
It was gathered that the Okada rider was shot dead at Forte oil filling station in the town.
An eyewitness who gave his name as Chukwudi, claimed the female officer, who was on official inspection with her colleagues was reportedly destroying gallons and pouring away fuel from those who bought with their jerrycans.

Recall that there was a directive from the FG some days ago for the NSCDC to fish out Petroleum Black marketers as part of the measures to end the ongoing fuel crisis.
The deceased who was at the queue for fuel walked up to the female officer to know the reason she was destroying gallons and pouring away fuel.
The enraged female officer in the argument that ensued pointed her gun at the deceased, pulled the trigger and shot him dead on the spot.
The accused and her colleagues have reportedly fled the scene.
