2 Local Government Areas, 8 Schools, 17 healthcare professionals, and 8000 children. These numbers came to life when Access Bank’s Financial Control Group, in partnership with the Lagos state Ministry of Health, decided to address the healthcare needs of young school children in Alimosho/Ikotun LGAs, whose parents, as a result of their socioeconomic challenges, have little access to good health care.
December 2015 was really special for these kids in Temidire Primary School, Okeodo, Abesan Primary School, Abesan Housing Estate, Community Primary School, Ikotun, Egbeda Primary School, and St. Andrews Primary School, Ayobo Road, Ipaja, as they not only got medical checks, treatments, and general access to good health care, they were also given exciting packages like story books, educational books, lunch boxes, water bottles, stationaries and toys.
This CSR initiative by Access Bank’s Financial Control Group is definitely one worth emulating, because our children are our future, and if they are healthy and educated, then our future as a nation is secure.
