Isha is elated as she finds Ira's address and informs Devki about it. Devki who has lost her mental parity fails to understand Isha's joy. Isha misses Sam, Chetna and other friends.
Isha is eager to meet Ira and prepares her favorite sweet dish for her. Isha's landlady Purnima tells her to reach at court to prepare the lease assention. Isha goes in search of Ira at the given address however gets stunned as she finds an old woman staying there. Isha gets discouraged as she doesn't find Ira. Isha is on her way to the court when a girl splashes mud on her with her speeding car. The young lady who drives expediently to reach the court is none other than Ira.
Ira too reaches the same court as Isha for some work. 10 years have gone by due of which Isha and Ira fail to recognize each other. Purnima chides Isha for reaching late in the court and requests that her stand in the queue. Ira is a spoilt brat and bribes the lawyer so that she doesn't need to queue. The lawyer declines to accept the bribe and asks her to queue. Ira then plays a prank and feigns having an asthma attack. Isha witnesses this and offers to stand in Ira's place. Isha doesn't know that the girl is feigning sickness and that it is none other than her Ira. Isha trusts that Ira must be still following her principles however is unaware that time and circumstances have transform her completely. Ira meets the judge and lets him know that she doesn't wish to live with any memories of her childhood and says that she needs to change her name. Ira tells that there are numerous bitter facts attached to her childhood and subsequently she needs to clear it by changing her name to Kajal. Ira eradicates her real identity pitilessly. Purnima chides Isha for giving her place to another person and says that the girl was feigning sickness. Isha still doesn't give up her kindness and hurries to give the pump to Ira which is used by asthma patients. Ira leaves from the court. Isha gets shocked as she hears Ira's discussion with her friend and comes to realize that she had pretended to be ill. Isha feels horrible. Isha and Purnima leave from the court in the wake of finishing their Work. Purnima requests that Isha pay the rent fee. Isha is going to pay her when she hears a lady shouting.
Isha gets shocked as she sees Devki fighting with a neighbor for a radio. Devki drops the radio and destroyed it. The neighbor approaches Isha to pay for the damage and Isha needs to pay her the money which she has kept aside to pay the rent. Isha inquires as to whether she could pay her the rent following a week. Manoj and Indrani get shocked as they receive a letter written by Ira in which she specifies that she is in love with a guy named Karan and is eloping with him. Indrani gets upset and Manoj tries to console her. Later Manoj and Indrani realize that Ira has played a prank. Ira has failed in her exams and plays a prank with Indrani and Manoj to spare herself from their scolding. Manoj rings Ira and requests that her return home. Manoj chides Ira for her prank and for failing in her exams. Ira manages to convince Manoj and Indrani. Isha is agonized over the rent and searches for a job. Ira informs Manoj and Indrani that she has changed her name to Kajal as she needs to clear every one of the memories connected to her childhood. Indrani is miserable and expects that some time or another Isha might discover Ira and everything will change in the event that it ever happens. Isha searches for job offers in the newspaper. The name change affirmation of Ira is printed in the newspaper yet Isha fails to notice it.
