Prison Spokeman - We Have Not Released Kabiru Sokoto

Kabiru-Sokoto
The Nigerian Prisons Service has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari has not freed Kabiru Sokoto, the suspected mastermind of 2011 Christmas Day bombing on St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla, near Abuja.

The attack left about 40 people dead.
There were several reports on social media over the weekend, alleging that President Buhari had freed the suspected bomber as part of a purported prisoners swap deal between the Federal Government and the Boko Haram sect.
Reacting in a statement, however, prisons spokesperson, Biyi Jeje, said, “Please disregard the rumour. He’s still in prisons custody.”
Recall that Dikko, controversially known as Kabiru Sokoto, was convicted in December 2013 after being found guilty of plotting the car suicide bombing on St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla, near Abuja.
