OPEC appoints ex-NNPC boss, Barkindo Secretary-General

      

A former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mohammed Barkindo has been appointed as the new Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC.
The appointment of the Nigerian was announced on Thursday at a meeting of the oil cartel at the OPEC headquarters in Vienna.
